It feels like it was only yesterday that we celebrated Halloween, and now here it is Thanksgiving.
Despite the busyness of the month, today I am taking time to reflect on all that I have to be grateful for. On Thanksgiving, I welcome traditions like watching the parade, a tradition I have enjoyed since childhood. It is also a day to spent time with loved ones, enjoy good food, and express gratitude for the blessings in our lives.
November was an incredibly hectic month that seemed to fly past. I focused on writing several new articles. I also did some shopping for much-needed home goods, like a beautiful new set of dishes that I will be using today. And I even made some progress on my Christmas shopping for this year.
The weather has also become chilly. The lovely, mild fall season created the impression that it would never get cold.
But now, with temperatures dropping and snow flurries beginning to make an appearance, it’s clear that winter is just around the corner. The cozy sweaters and warm drinks have come out, and the holiday season is in full swing.
As we move into December, I am looking forward to the festive atmosphere that comes with the holiday season. I can’t wait to decorate my home, bake holiday treats, and spend time with friends and family.
But for now, I am taking a moment to pause and appreciate all that November brought. It may have flown by, but it was filled with moments of joy, warmth, and gratitude. Here’s to the last days of November and the exciting month ahead.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
