Alexandra Kathryn Mosca — Exploring Life and Death: A Writer's Journey

My life has been all about reinvention: I’ve been a writer, author, blogger, funeral director, actress, and model. I strongly believe in the power of reinvention. Life cannot remain stagnant; trying new things is essential to add excitement and spice to our everyday experiences.

In 2011, I was honored to be one of 50 women invited to share my reinvention stories when MORE magazine, the first magazine aimed at women over 40, published a book titled “More Magazine’s 287 Secrets of Reinventing Your Life.”

The book is a treasure trove of wisdom, featuring stories from remarkable women who have embraced change and forged new paths in life. Being a part of this collective narrative underscored the importance of embracing change, stepping out of one’s comfort zone, and continuously seeking growth and fulfillment. It reinforced my belief in the power of reinvention and the limitless possibilities that come with it.

Being interviewed for the book was an exhilarating and humbling experience. It allowed me to reflect on my transformation journey and share my story with a broader audience. The process of recounting my various reinventions—from writer and author to funeral director and beyond—allowed me to appreciate the diverse tapestry of experiences that have shaped my life.

During the interview, I delved into the motivations behind each shift and the challenges I faced along the way. It was a chance to explore the underlying themes of resilience, adaptability, and the relentless pursuit of passion that have consistently guided my path.
